The world's largest craft fair - Surajkund Mela
The Surajkund Mela near faridabad is an annual event that takes place in the month of February for 15 days. Every year one state hosts the mela, and promote their culture , art and cuisine. This year (2020) the chosen state was Himachal Pradesh. Also, 20 countries participated in the craft festival. One could spot Madhubani paintings , Egyptian art , mandalas , handmade bangles etc. The mela is always vibrant but very crowded. The ideal time to visit Surajkund is around 11 AM. After that , the mela starts getting crowded and it becomes impossible to even find a parking spot. This art work is a mix of mandala and madhubani. If you are an art enthusiast , you must visit the mela. This art piece is from an Egyptian stall.
