Delighted humans

DIY's are always fun , even though I fail at them many times still , I won't stop painting around random objects. Yesterday , I painted this kullad I randomly found to convert it into a pen stand kind of thing. I used acrylic colours and brustro fineliners. and finally, This was a really simple DIY and it took me around one hour to do this one. This kullad can now be used as a pen stand or maybe a tissue Holder. The Surajkund Mela near faridabad is an annual event that takes place in the month of February for 15 days. Every year one state hosts the mela, and promote their culture , art and cuisine. This year (2020) the chosen state was Himachal Pradesh. Also, 20 countries participated in the craft festival.  One could spot Madhubani paintings , Egyptian art , mandalas , handmade bangles etc. The mela is always vibrant but very crowded. The ideal time to visit Surajkund is around 11 AM. After that , the mela starts getting crowded and it becomes impossible to even find a parking spot. This art work is a mix of mandala and madhubani. If you are an art enthusiast , you must visit the mela. This art piece is from an Egyptian stall. Hand lettering is basically a form of drawing to create decorative letters. It is one of my favourite forms of art; I have absolute freedom to choose the background , the quote I wish to write , the kind of pens to use. It's expressive , quirky and cool to display. The pink city is a beautiful place with a number of historical accounts attached to it. Some amazing entertainers like Padmavat, bajirao mastani , shudh Desi romance, Veer , rang de basanti etc. were shot here because of the beauty of the place and it's amazing vibe. I have philosophy as one of the courses this term and though it is a common opinion that philosophy "doesn't make sense" , I realised that a few concepts do really answer the common questions that pop up in the human mind but are actually ignored.  Deontology Vs Utilitarianism What is right ? What is wrong? According to Utilitarianism, anything which produces happiness or pleasure is RIGHT while anything which leads to pain is WRONG. It is basically based on maximizing the HAPPINESS for the most number of people. Say, you have a substantial amount of drug which can CURE 5 people but the same amount can SAVE the life of one. What would you do?  Mostly, SAVE 5. Basically, you selected the happiness of 5 over one. ULTILITARIANISM. Then there comes deontology wherein you are RIGHT if you follow RULES , WRONG if you don't. 1. An abstract line art On some days inspiration doesn't come naturally, those are the perfect days to draw something abstract. I grabbed an ivory sheet and scribbled my anxiety away and this is what I got.
