The Delhi photo book: A travel blog

My last post about Delhi was really appreciated by you all , so I decided to do another post on Delhi.

What comes to your mind when you think about Delhi? Momos, politics , Arvind Kejriwal , dilli ki polluted हवा and Delhi metro.

Fun fact : The Delhi Metro's daily average ridership is 24.2 lakh. ( as on October 2017)

1.  Hauz khas village

The Hauz khas village is an interesting place with a lot of Cafes , bars , high end shops and a Deer Park. Don't take the name of the park literally, the Deer Park has no deers; I got fooled by Google :( Although you would find peacocks and parrots and a lake.

This was the view from the cafe we ate in.

Hauz Khas is also the home to the Hauz khas fort.

2. Ugrasen ki baoli/ Agrasen ki baoli

Agrasen ki baoli or the Ugrasen ki baoli was originally a water tank with 180 steps. A few shots of Amir Khan's movie PK were taken here.

Now , it has become a famous spot for clicking Instagram worthy pictures.

One can spot several inquisitive foreigners and a few cats too ;)

3. Humayun's tomb

Humayun's tomb is like दिल्ली का ताज महल , it literally has the same architecture as the Taj Mahal but is made of sandstone instead.

The tomb was built by Bega Begum for her husband Humayun.

4. Purana quila

I personally like the place a lot. Was it the sunset or my company? Don't know. But it was beautiful.

We sat on a bench , admired the sunset , the history , the peacocks and everything around us. It was a beautiful feeling.

सर्दी की वो धूप और प्यारे से लोग, the time we spent was priceless.

We played some Prateek Kuhad songs and enjoyed the sunset.

Some artists were busy printing the beauty of the place on a sheet of paper.

It's candy floss time!

5.  CP

Hungry? Connaught Place or CP has the best restaurants and all kinds of food chains from KFC to Pizza hut. Sab milega.

Plus, you also get stores like miniso and high end Cafes and bars.
